Brett Evans is a Partner, responsible for Recruiting and Business Development, at CMA.

Brett has sat on trading floors in schedule A & B banks and boutiques with over twenty years of Capital Markets trading, treasury, currency, options and payments experience before getting into recruiting. He has extensive experience in options trading, client relationship consulting and risk, and sales management, including P&L responsibility for these business lines. Credit and credit management and compliance have been a large part of his experience. He has traded at schedule A & B banks and built a boutique firm in the treasury space and has managed a team of traders. Business development and strategic partnerships have been a large part of his focus and he has managed and mentored sales/trading teams in this specific industry as well. His experience has been an integral part of the growth of several new initiatives within Capital Markets. Brett’s experience has allowed him to work and trade on many different platforms that support these types of transactions and he has a very good sense of the global marketplace and particularly the competition.

A proven business development sales strategist with over twenty years’ experience in sales & managerial roles. He has built high performing sales teams in all areas of Capital Markets.  An excellent communicator, motivator and team player that interacts well with others and continually demonstrates a positive attitude. A well-organized professional with extensive fundraising and public speaking experience and a large network in the North American business community. With high personal drive and motivation Brett thrives on generating new business.

Some of the areas of concentration Brett has specialized in are Financial Services recruiting (contract & full-time) including trading, sales, capital markets, investment banking, wealth (HNW), private client, institutional sales & treasury, payments, FX, insurance, compliance AML, risk, settlements, operations (back & front office) & IT within North America. Brett has helped a wide range of firms buy and sell books & build high performance teams. He has done many placements in HR and IT focused on end-to-end IT, Digital, Finance, Risk, Software & Hardware Engineering, and Big Data Analytics. Brett also has a proven track record of successful placements in the Agile space (Agile coaches, Scrum Masters, UI Designers / Developers, Data Scientists, DevOps resources and Full Stack Developers).  Brett’s specialty in Finance, Investment Services and Digital is showcased in placements for Fintech Startups, major banks, financial institutions & Fintech with Venture Capital firms.  His experience in the last 7 years has been focused on recruitment within Capital Markets all over North America, Europe & UK.

As part of the executive recruitment team he is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and increasing relationships with institutional clients while retaining existing business and pursuing profitable growth opportunities. As a recruiter, he has a proven record for success and excels on behalf of our clients. Specifically, Tony specialized in working with candidates in the fields of  information technology (IT), middle and senior compliance, management, sales, as well administrative positions within the financial services industry. He is extremely dedicated to managing client relationships from project initiation through implementation, and has a knack to see what a client needs and make it happen. Tony is actively involved in every step of the recruitment, interview and placement process.

Prior to joining CMA, Tony was a Director and IT/business leader at UBS for 10 years, as well as AVP at PaineWebber for almost 20 years, operating across multiple products, platforms, and technologies. Tony’s background includes account management, consulting, business analysis recruitment, and project management with extensive experience in managing, marketing, as well as delivering business solutions and products. Tony has a consistent track-record for leading large scale projects in high pressure and fast-paced environments.

Tony has a business degree from the Anisfield School of Business at Ramapo College of New Jersey.


Stacy Brooks is a Talent Acquisition Consultant for Capital Markets Advisors. She has more than 20 years of cross-functional experience as a trusted advisor and business development and relationship management expert in the financial services industry. Before joining CMA, she was delivering subject matter expertise as a strategic partner, business coach, and mentor to financial advisors. She has extensive business acumen and industry knowledge and has played a key role in advisor education, training, and onboarding. As a credible and sought-after thought leader and resource to senior management, she has a track record of creating solutions and strategies that drive organizational success and efficiency.

Her extensive experience and successes include advisor recruitment projects and contributions to increased sales, business growth and improvements in best practices, processes, systems, and productivity for client services. As a recruiter, she specializes in identifying talented Wealth Managers, Portfolio Managers, Financial Advisors, Associate Advisors, and Financial Planners in Canada and the US. She leverages a wide network of long-term relationships that she has developed within investment, banking, insurance, and other financial services institutions.

Stacy is an influencer who achieves results and drives business value with a collaborative approach. She has a passion for practice management and sees the bigger picture, taking a consultative approach to build consensus and deliver a return on investment. As a natural communicator, she nurtures relationships as she listens to understand business needs with the objective of addressing each of her client’s challenges to provide customized recruiting and staffing services that place the right individuals in the right roles.


Farah Kamal is a Business Development and Recruitment Consultant for Capital Market Advisors, where her extensive background across the trade lifecycle in capital markets enriches her role. With over twenty years of experience, Farah has a proven track record in trading (futures, equities, options), leading operations teams, and spearheading fintech transformational projects.

Farah started her trading career in institutional trading eventually leading her to manage a futures trading desk. Her leadership during the challenging MF Global bankruptcy, working closely with the exchanges, regulatory bodies and CIPF to protect client assets, marked a significant phase in her career. Transitioning into operations consulting, Farah led initiatives for implementing book of records systems, self-clearing initiatives and managing multiple conversions. This period underscored her ability to lead through high-stakes environments and drive operational excellence working alongside development teams, compliance, finance and front office.

At Broadridge Financial Solutions, Farah spent years working with Tier 1  Banks on key digital transformation initiatives, establishing herself as a trusted advisor and partner. At Wealthsimple, she rapidly developed a securities lending desk and retail options trading program, taking them from concept to launch in record time. She built these teams from the ground up, onboarded counterparties, and integrated a carrying broker, demonstrating her expertise in project delivery and regulatory navigation.

Farah excels in building relationships across the North American broker/dealer community, driving new business and supporting team growth through strategic partnerships. Her commitment to DEI initiatives in capital markets underscores her leadership in promoting an inclusive industry environment. Holding the FCSI designation from the Canadian Securities Institute, Farah demonstrates a deep understanding of market dynamics and a dedication to professional excellence.


Chris Ford is a Recruiting and Business Development Consultant for Capital Markets Advisors. He is a graduate of the Ted Rogers School of Management in Toronto, Canada. Chris began working in financial services in 1996 and has spent significant time with 3 of Canada’s Big 6 banks in their Personal & Commercial Banking, Online Banking, and Wealth Management divisions.

He has built and managed sales teams for one of Canada’s largest mutual fund companies and most recently, has overseen external business development and advisor recruitment activities for one of Canada’s largest independent investment dealers.

As an independent consultant, Chris has worked closely with small and medium sized business owners across various industries to help assess and create business development strategies, improve operational efficiencies, and transition from early stage to venture-funded stage and beyond.
