If so, and you have at 8+ years of recruiting experience, CMA’s position as Financial Advisor / Independent Advisor Recruiter would be the perfect fit for you. Our firm identifies, recruits and places top Financial Advisors and Independent Advisors for our clients who represent a diverse array of US Broker-Dealers (National/Global Firms, Regional Firms, Independent Networks and Boutiques).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source candidates for Financial Advisor (FA) and Independent Advisor (IA) roles, reviewing candidate qualifications and developing and maintaining area sourcing strategies and business plans to attain firm goals
  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing materials, and coordinate activities with other CMA recruiters
  • Actively share sourcing and recruiting strategies with CMA recruiters
  • Manage and prioritize candidate tracking and follow up
  • Work collaboratively with various CMA recruiters as well as branch and FA firm contacts
  • Coordinate activities and maintain constant open communication with other recruiters and CMA team members
  • Establish front-facing relationship with high profile FAs and IAs who have shown an interest in the position
  • Responsible for business development activities related to recruitment of new FAs and IAs for CMA
  • Day to day tasks associated with recruitment of FA’s / IA’s throughout the U.S. and Canada

Position Requirements:

  • 8+ years in recruiting and/or interview experience in financial services; familiarity with competency-based interview techniques and strong understanding of the financial services industry
  • Availability to conduct interviews remotely or in person with candidates, and attend weekly recruiting status update meetings via teleconference
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree strongly preferred
  • Strong skills in team management, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with colleagues and externally with potential candidates
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve hiring challenges quickly and efficiently as they arise, as well as being able to recognize potential obstacles and to seek alternative solutions
  • Strong presentation and written communication skills
  • Self-starting, sales-oriented team player managing time well and thriving under pressure
  • Track record of successful recruiting in the brokerage industry (FA’s and IA’s)
  • Strong focus on customer service 
  • Ability to influence high-level decision makers
  • Attention to detail, good organization skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and work in multi-task environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Dropbox
